After receiving a few photos of your doors, we review them to determine the type of wood and if there is any, the extent of any damage. 

Then, we contact you via phone or email to discuss our recommended course of action for restoring your door to its best possible condition, as well as send over a price estimate. 

If you decide to work with us, simply sign our contract and pay the retainer deposit. We will then schedule your project, and you are all set!

Our first step is to remove the door and all hardware. This ensures that our team can work on the door with ease and without any obstructions. 

We also seal the house with plastic to protect it from the refinishing process and to keep cold or warm air inside. 

For doors that have trim in need of refinishing, we mask and prepare the home to ensure that it is protected from any damage.

If  your project is a multiple day one, we will always put the door back up along with any locks to make sure your home is fully secure overnight.

The next step in the refinishing process is to use commercial stripper to remove all of the old finish.

 This step is crucial because it ensures that we can start the refinishing process on a clean slate. 

By removing the old finish, we can identify any damage or cracks that need to be filled and repaired before we sand the door smooth in preparation for staining.

Next we try to fill any cracks or damage in the door that needs repair. This step is important because it ensures that your door is in excellent condition before it is stained. 

By filling in any cracks or repairing any damage, we can achieve a smooth surface for the stain to adhere to. 

**Please note that we can not make extreme repairs, but don't be shy to send us a photo to find out of it is something we can fix**
